| A 9 page album, with various original cut
silhouette works, each signed W. S.
Subject matter ranges from true whimsy to one or two that are a bid
forlorn or maudlin. Includes playful
penguins, either a Centaur or Goat frolicking on a river bank with pixies,
pixies playing amongst hatching chicks, a man fishing, a man pontificating –
accompanied by a poem beginning with “Where broad river sweep into wide sea…”,
a woman playing piano, a woman standing at cliffs edge captioned “Blind grief
that sees not”, a couple embracing framed by curtains and finally a winged
Cupid with a vase of flowers. The final
is worked in lavender paper on black; the remainder of the book is black on
white or gray. Housed in an 8” x 11 ½” “Snapshot”
album. The little works are held in
place with photo corners and could be easily removed. Condition: excellent. A fine representation of one persons artistic
