Hand colored printed game board with rules printed in the center.  A mid-19^th Century American version of the centuries old game.  Earliest reference to the 16^th Century (given by F. de Medici to King Phillip of Spain as a present.  Game is intended to replicate the ups and downs encountered in the course of life.  Rare.  Paper separation at fold.  Some paper lacking, plus majority of exterior label lacking.
