A seven (7) part paper litho on wood articulated, mechanical pantin style jumping jack toy.  The character has the appearance of a bit of a dandy, complete with porkpie hat, monocle, goatee and mustache.    Nails or pins at joints and string mechanism on reverse.  Limbs move in various directions depending on how the string is pulled.  Most likely from the 1880s.  Measures 12 1/2" in length when extended. Condition: some edge wear on litho; Nicely played with.  Has been restrung, may benefit from heavy string.  All in all great mechanical paper toy.
